A Devon native, Molly Clark is now a master of the virtual world, working as an actor, writer, comedian, podcaster, and producer, writes Suzi Nash for Philadelphia Gay News.
Clark’s creative sketches on TikTok and Instagram have garnered over 200,000 followers and her podcast, “Please Don’t Tell Anyone” has received half a million downloads since it started.
Now, she’s back in her hometown area to work on her new short film This Blows in November.
“I grew up right near the Devon Horse Show. One of my core memories was the horse show in the spring.” Clark said. She first got into the arts as a freshman in high school, when she spent a summer at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute. After high school, she attended NYU, where she interned on numerous sets, including Jimmy Fallon.
She started her podcast in 2022, focusing on “unexpected stories from ordinary people.” Every guest came in as a blind interview, with Clark never knowing where the story was going to go.
Her short film This Blows is partially based on a true, personal story of Clark’s. The film’s main characters are a 20-something babysitter and a young girl.
“It’s about growing up and the mentors we find along the way. And how the 20 something babysitter and the girl help each other deal with the world. It’s a very safe, loving dynamic that they have as they each navigate growing up,” she said.
