Phoenixville’s ‘Grandpop Bubbles’ Brings Life-Sized Bubbles to Community
Brian Maloney, also known as Grandpop Bubbles, spends time making his personally designed and handmade bubbling gear and bubble juice, writes Courtney Ott for FOX43.
Recently, the Phoenixville native held a “Free Bubble Festival” at the Kipona Festival in Harrisburg. The festival featured a variety of bubble instruments, such as bubble wands, tri strings, poles, basins, and buckets for guests to create bubbles with.
Grandpop Bubbles’ special bubble recipe makes some of the biggest bubbles for both children and adults to enjoy. With his bubble juice, he’s able to create life-sized bubbles to marvel at and play with.
“[The festival] is a great opportunity for small businesses, both those that have brick-and-mortars in the city and those that don’t have a physical location but are just getting started, to promote themselves to the greater community,” said Courtney Ranck-Cameron with the City of Harrisburg.
He has been coming to the Kipona Festival for the past three years and does both private and community events, though his private events are booked out for the rest of 2024.
Festival attendees could send their event pictures to the Grandpop Bubbles email for a chance to win a free bubble party.
