A West Chester wedding venue’s remaining property is on the market. The 44-acre property belonging to Greystone Hall is listed at $9 million. But a real estate firm representing the longtime owners wants to see it become a luxury resort, writes Emma Dooling for The Philadelphia Business Journal.
The property currently includes a three-story mansion, garage and carriage house. Real estate Avison Young, which represents the Jerrihan family, envisions a 60-room resort.
Back in 2018, the land was purchased for $75 million and redeveloped into luxury town and single-family homes.
“We feel the best use for a property in this marketplace considering the lack of luxury accommodations in such a culturally and historically rich market (…) is a luxury resort,” said Thierry Roch, the Avison Young hospitality broker.
The Jerrehians owned Greystone Hall since 1942 and have been renting it out as a wedding venue since 1992.
