Chester County Place Ranked Among 10 Small Towns That Feel Like Stepping Back in Time

St. Peter’s Village along French Creek is one of the top ten places in the United States that feel like you are stepping back in time when visiting, writes Dana Schulz for the Best Life Online

Just a quarter mile in length, the small town was founded in the mid-1800s to provide homes for workers at the nearby iron ore mines and quarry. 

Today, the aesthetics are mostly the same. The quaint downtown is lined with shops and restaurants, including Village Arcade, “a classic haven of 25-cent vintage pinball machines,” wrote Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau. Another old-fashioned gem is Village Scoop Ice Cream Shop, which is guaranteed to provide sweet nostalgia.
