Rosemary Fordjour, Owner and Founder of Row Psychiatric Services, LLC., has been named a 2024 BSA VISTA Leadership Megastar among 11 others.

Ghana and New York City native Rosemary Fordjour is the Owner and Founder of Row Psychiatric Services, LLC.

Fordjour, who received her master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Hunter College, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, board-certified (PMHNP-BC), a Goldman Sachs 10KSB Alumni, and is Certified as a Womens Business Enterprise (WBE).

Throughout her career, Fordjour has looked up to and admired Nelson Mandela for his optimism, perseverance, and mindset, and acknowledged her proudest professional moment as witnessing the profound impact her organization has had on the community it serves.

“We have succeeded in providing accessible and equitable mental healthcare to everyone, with a particular focus on our underserved citizens,” Fordjour said. “This achievement reflects our commitment to fostering wellness and resilience, ensuring that quality mental health services are available to those who need them most.”

Fordjour believes a great leader leads by example and communicates the organization’s mission and vision clearly and transformationally to the team. To do this, Fordjour tries to inspire her team and others by consistently showing up and following through on her commitments to demonstrate reliability and dedication in every action.

Additionally, Fordjour is constantly striving to be a better leader to those she serves and strives to keep innovating.

“Innovation fosters a culture of creativity and innovation within the team, encouraging new ideas and approaches to improve our services and operations,” she said.

Of the 12 Principles of the Scout Law — Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent — Loyalty resonates the most with Fordjour.

“Loyalty has had the greatest impact on my career and life,” she said. “Loyalty to my team, my mission, and my values has been a guiding principle in everything I do. It means standing by my commitments, supporting my colleagues, and remaining dedicated to the goals we set out to achieve together. Loyalty fosters trust and builds strong, enduring relationships, both personally and professionally. This unwavering dedication to loyalty has helped me navigate challenges, inspire others, and lead with integrity.”

The Chester County Council, Boy Scouts of America will honor Fordjour and the 11 other BSA VISTA Leadership Megastars at an awards reception on Thursday, Oct. 17, at its new Program, Activity, and Resource Campus (PARC) in Exton. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available at Boy Scouts of America. For more information, contact Kristin Conran at kristin.conran@scouting.org.
