Jessy Kyle, a Philadelphia singer is a three-time cancer survivor and is now venturing into the business world, write Stephanie Stahl and Brad Nau for CBS News Philadelphia.
After fighting off so many different health complications, including a heart attack and kidney transplant, and she is now focused on helping other women.
Kyle recently created a new bra line, Betterly Bras, inspired by her medical journey.
“I’m a three-time survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma,” Kyle said. “I was 16 when I was diagnosed, so it’s almost 35 years. It changed me in the sense that I am just very goal-oriented and focused.”
The concept of the bra line is to help solve a problem that many women face when looking for a bra, such as the band or cup not fitting, or the shoulder straps falling off.
The idea is to design bras with greater flexibility.
“Our shoulders strap in addition to our slider. We have an additional four inches of adjustability of this patent,” Kyle said. “So now you get tight and loosen to your comfort level.”
Now healthy after receiving a kidney transplant from her husband, Kyle wants to help make women feel good about themselves.
