Get Your Dink On at These Pickleball Courts in Chester County

Chester County has several pickleball courts available for play.

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation and there is no indication that its popularity is going to wane anytime soon, writes Laura Brzyski for the Philadelphia Magazine.

The game often described as the lovechild of tennis and ping-pong is played using special paddles and a pickleball. Matches are on a court that is around one-quarter the size of a tennis court.

If you are among the many people who have caught the pickleball bug, Chester County has plenty of places where you can get your dink on.

Brandywine YMCA in Coatesville offers three indoor courts and five outdoor courts. Great Valley Community Organization in Malvern has four indoor courts, while Kennett Area YMCA boasts three indoor and three outdoor courts.

Pennypacker Swim & Tennis Club in Downingtown has ten outdoor courts.

East Brandywine Community Park in Downingtown offers four free-to-play outdoor courts, while East Goshen Township Park has twice as many outdoor courts, also free-to-play.

Other locations with free-to-play outdoor courts include Teegarden Park in Berwyn (6), Wharton Courts in Exton (6), and Robert E. Lambert Park in West Chester (2) among others.
