Five popular spots in Chester County are on the fiftieth iteration of the Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly list.

Ground Provisions in West Chester took the title of the Best Vegan Prix Fixe in the Food and Drink category. The peaceful and deliberately rusticated eatery makes classic favorites like maitake mushroom glazed in black garlic taste like state-of-the-art modern cuisine.

Joey Chops in Malvern also made the Food and Drinks category as the Best Steakhouse When You Don’t Want to Go to a Steakhouse. In addition to delicious steaks, the eatery offers mouthwatering lobster dumplings, airline chicken Milanese, and much more.

Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square made a showing in the Fun and Games category as the Best Water Feature. The attraction’s main fountain garden features nearly 2,000 fountain jets, synchronized music, and stunning landscape design.

Erin Matson, a Chadds Ford native and Unionville High graduate, received Best Team Leader in the City Life category. Matson was named the head coach of the women’s field hockey team at the University of North Carolina when just 22 years old.

Finally, Tara Giorgio was named the Best Brow Wizard in the Health and Self category. From her plant-laden NoLibs studio and the Brow Bar in West Chester, Giorgio is taking the brow game to untold artistic levels.
