Two Beer Gardens in Chester County to Visit This Summer for Music, Art, and Hops

Spend some time in the sunshine with friends or family at one of these two beer gardens in Chester County this summer.

The modern beer garden came from the early Bavarian practice of storing beer on gravel floors with shade trees nearby to keep the beer cool, writes Leigh Green for PA Eats.

Since its inception, beer gardens have become beloved seasonal spots for friends and family to gather, relax, and enjoy delicious brews.

Brothers on the Brandywine Beer Garden is open on Sundays in April through October and is held at the Brandywine Outfitters Park. Pack an inner tub and a bathing suit and take a dip in the Brandywine in between orders! Customers can also throw axes, shop from local vendors, and listen to music.

You can lounge in a camping chair or along the grassy riverbanks while sipping a refreshing beverage. Available brews are any Brothers Kershner Brewing Company selections and rotating drink options.

The Creamery in Kennett Square used to be a condensed milk factory. Today, it serves as an art hub, watering hole, and community event space. The Creamery features live entertainment, a variety of farmers markets, and special events, such as ‘Adult Prom,’ block parties, and the Longwood Gardens Plantology on Tap series.

There is plenty of seating to pick from, including seats around the firepit to stay cozy after the sun sets. Some drink options are canned brews, kombucha, and cocktails, with a seasonal menu to match.
