Allentown and West Chester native Madi Coble is the Owner and Founder of Madi’s on a Roll, where her role is described as “all-encompassing.” Coble enjoys the flexibility, socialization, and creativity of her position.

“You will find me in the kitchen prepping fillings, answering emails, running our social media accounts, working the storefront or local farmers markets, and so much more,” said Coble. “I am the dreamer of the business. One of my most important jobs at the moment is creating a team of employees who are as passionate as I am about executing the ideas.”

Coble, whose first job was working in her mother’s bakery at an early age, also nannied throughout college. Additionally, she worked at The Goddard School corporate office as a Marketing Coordinator for a year and a half after college but then promptly started her business at the age of 23.

Coble attended Parkland High School in Allentown. After high school, she played volleyball for Holy Family University during her freshman year of college until she transferred to West Chester University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Coble credits Amy Altshul, the mother of the family she previously nannied for, with having a substantial impact on her career. nanny for.

“When I wanted to quit my corporate job and start a business of my own, she fully supported my decision and gave me a job nannying for her family so that I could pursue my dream,” said Coble. “She was flexible with me, offered so much support, and guided me when I didn’t know the way. From day one, she was always my biggest advocate, and she’s the reason I could go full-time with Madi’s on a Roll.”

Over the course of her career so far, Coble is most proud of opening her own store.

“We took on a very large space that required a lot of work, and being able to 100 percent self-fund the opening of our store is something I will forever be proud of,” said Coble. “Plus, I was 6 months pregnant while trying to open the store!”

Coble’s favorite Chester County restaurant is Café Baladi.

“It is a Lebanese restaurant tucked away in a shopping center in Malvern, and it is undoubtedly the best food I have ever had,” she said.

Coble and the rest of the 2024 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration on Thursday, May 9 at Penn State Great Valley, Malvern.
