The Green House opened last year by Peter Giuffre, whose adventure in starting the business began a few years ago when he was experimenting with creating plant pots. Giuffre is a graduate of Temple University, where he studied horticulture. Most of the 3-6 inch pots for sale are made by him.

Giuffre offers advice and shows customers certain plants or pots that he thinks would be suitable for the customer depending on how good they are with plants. He checks to see how much sunlight a person’s house gets and how often they would need to water the plant before he gives recommendations.

In addition to plants, he also has baby clothes, sippy cups, and other non-toxic items. Cleaning products are also on the menu if you’re looking to switch to something more environmentally friendly.
