The West Chester Public Library welcomes Margaret F. Stanton as the new Director.

With a rich background in library management and a passion for creating engaging public spaces, Stanton is set to lead the library into a new era of growth and
community engagement.

Stanton is returning to West Chester, where she got her undergraduate degree and then completed her education with a master’s degree in Library Science at Drexel University. Stanton most recently held the position of Director of the Malvern Public Library, where she significantly increased funding and introduced innovative collections, including a unique Vinyl Collection.

Her experience is complemented by her roles in circulation and cataloging, where she demonstrated her skills in customer service and technical library operations. Stanton’s leadership qualities and her dedication to the library profession make her an excellent choice to guide the West Chester Public Library forward.

The West Chester Public Library Board of Trustees and staff are excited to welcome Stanton to her new role. Her extensive experience, leadership qualities, and dedication to enhancing the library experience for all make her an ideal fit for directing WCPL into its next chapter.
