Organized by the Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance, First Fridays start in May and run through October from 5 PM to 9 PM. The events hope to showcase the vibrant community and culture of Chester County’s only city.

Shops, vendors, and restaurants in downtown Coatesville will host special events, refreshments, promotions, and live entertainment along the block. Animated Brewing Company and Brandywine Valley Active Aging will have a pop-up beer garden at the corner of MLK and 3rd. There will also be Chef Miss Bee’s grilled cheese sandwiches, live music, and cornhole to play so that everyone has a good time.

Each First Friday has its own theme:

  • May 3: Cinco De Mayo Celebration
  • June 7: Juneteenth
  • July 5: Independence Day Celebration
  • August 2: Carnival – West Indian Celebration
  • September 6: Harvest Festival
  • October 4: Fall Farewell

Vendor spots and sponsorships are available to make each First Friday event a success.
