Crews are prepping the Marcus Hook Community Center for film crews preparing to shoot scenes for the "Mare" follow up, "Task."

Furniture is being moved around, and painting and repairs are underway at the Marcus Hook Community Center as film crews prep to shoot scenes for “Task” next in Marcus Hook Borough, writes Madeleine Wright for CBS News Philadelphia.

“Task” is an HBO limited series starring Mark Ruffalo described as a follow up to “Mare of Easttown.” Crews started filming in Ridley last week.

“They [producers] want to use this building as their movie police station,” said Marcus Hook Commissioner Michael Manerchia. “It’ll actually house the Marcus Hook police, the Darby police, and the FBI.”

Filming will also take place at a private residence on 3rd Street.

Marcus Hook resident Chris Gasiorowski is eager to see what they come up with.

“I’m curious to see how they do our accent this time around.”

Delaware County has become a popular location for filmmakers, helped along by the Greater Philadelphia Film Office.

“It’s not nearly as overshot as L.A. or New York, but it’s getting to be better known visually. So I do think Delco gives us an underutilized visual palette that makes it attractive,” said Andrew Susskind, a film/TV associate teaching professor at Drexel University.
