Nemours Children’s Health continued to expand its footprint in the Philadelphia suburbs with a new pediatric specialty care center in Malvern, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 43,000-square-foot specialty care and ambulatory surgical center will offer specialty, diagnostic, and surgical care.

“The opening of this center signifies Nemours Children’s commitment to providing exceptional health care services and enhancing accessibility for the children and families [in the Philadelphia region],” said Mark Marcantano, president of Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley.

A concussion program, onsite imaging, developmental medicine specialists, sleep center, and a surgery center are among the 18 medical and surgical specialties that will be provided at the new site.

Wilmington-based Nemours has not disclosed the cost of the new center.

The pediatric health system most recently opened a Broomall center in May. Before that, it opened its Abington specialty care center in October 2022. Nemours also owns and operates specialty care centers in Glen Mills and Philadelphia, along with outpatient care sites in Lancaster, Deptford in New Jersey, and Wilmington and Milford in Delaware.
