8-Year-Old ‘Wild Child’ from Phoenixville Blows Away Competitors on Racetrack

8-year-old Mila Ricci has a need for speed and here’s how she fulfills it: one dirt track, her race car, and the drive to get it all done, write Jamie Apody and staff for 6ABC.

Embellished with a volcano, her name, and a “Wild Child” sticker, her car is well-known around Phoenixville’s racing club.

“We call her the dirt queen. She plays softball too. She likes to get dirty. She likes to go fast. She doesn’t mind if she flips her car,” said Jen Ricci, her mother.

Ricci only started racing in the spring and she loves it. She has even won a national race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indy 500.

“I was really proud of myself because that was the first win I’ve ever had,” said Ricci.

When asked where she sees herself in the future, Ricci replied that she didn’t know where she would end up. Yet, she is determined to keep racing, and maybe show a few boys how it’s done.
