Neumann University presented its annual President’s Distinguished Alumni Award to West Chester’s Jason Cannon in a March 12 ceremony on campus.

Cannon is a seasoned financial professional with more than a decade of experience in pivotal roles for The Eustace Foundation. He has served as a trustee for the Mary Margaret Trust, board member of The Delaney Family Foundation, and senior managing director at Cabrini Asset Management, Inc.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in humanities from Widener University, and a master’s degree in organizational and strategic leadership from Neumann University.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Jason Cannon’s commitment extends to community enrichment through his role as a dedicated board member of The Archbishop’s Christmas Benefit for Children and Maurin retreats.

Over the last several years, he has taken on the role of associate producer of the highly anticipated film “Cabrini,” about the life of Mother Frances Cabrini, an Italian American nun who became a champion for immigrants and their orphaned children. She was canonized by the Catholic Church in 1946 and is the patron saint of immigrants.

Cannon leveraged his expertise and passion for filmmaking to contribute significantly to the film. His creative and financial support helped bring the project to fruition.

The film debuted on March 8, International Women’s Day, on 2,600 screens nationwide.

The President’s Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to a graduate whose career is characterized by continuous and exemplary contributions to society through research, practice, education, or service and who exemplifies the core values of the university.
