Handi-Crafters Opportunity Center (HCOC), a Thorndale-based nonprofit that has served the needs of individuals with disabilities in Chester County and beyond for more than a half-century, is seeking sponsors for its annual spring fundraiser on Thursday, May 2 from 6-9 PM.

One of the largest employment and disability-focused nonprofit work centers in southeastern Pennsylvania, HCOC enriches the lives of differently abled citizens through employment. Annually, it supports 300-plus individuals on their journey to break down barriers and access rewarding job opportunities.

HCOC achieves its goals through partnerships with great employers and work contracts with businesses that choose socially responsible outsourcing for their projects. They hire HCOC’s workforce to meet their contract packaging, kitting, and assembly needs in the nonprofit’s work center.

HCOC’s clients take great pride in their work and receive a continuum of support services that includes case management, community participation, job coaching, and an active on-site Adult Day program.

An event sponsorship will help empower people with special needs — including individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, mental health diagnoses, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injury, as well as people on the autism spectrum — to learn new skills in a supportive environment.

Learn more about the variety of HCOC sponsorships that are available to help keep employment options and opportunities available for the growing number of individuals who benefit from the nonprofit’s support and services.
