Chester County Named as Best County to Live in Pennsylvania
Chester County is the best county to live in all of Pennsylvania, according to a recently released ranking by 24/7 Wall Street., writes Logan DeLoye for iHeart.
To determine the best county to live in each state, the site measured poverty, bachelor’s degree attainment among adults, and average life expectancy at birth.
Chester County boasts a high life expectancy at birth of 81.5 years, almost three years longer than Pennsylvania’s average. It has a poverty rate of just 6.1 percent, which is nearly half of the 11.8 percent rate in the entire state.
Additionally, it is one of only two counties where more than half of all adults have a bachelor’s degree.
