The Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center is announcing the return of its much-anticipated annual gala, Light Up the Night, set to dazzle the community on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM.  

This premier event promises an evening of fun, festivity, and fine arts, all in support of Uptown’s enriching programs and theatre school. 

The gala, renowned for lighting up the night in true celebratory fashion, will kick off at the Chester County History Center, located just across the street from the Performing Arts Center.  

Guests will be treated to signature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres accompanied by the soothing sounds of Sara Michaels‘ recently released Jazz Album, setting the perfect tone for the evening ahead. 

As the night unfolds, the celebration will move to the A. Roy Smith Mainstage within the Performing Arts Center, where a 327-seat venue awaits to host the evening’s attendees.  

The highlight of the night will be a performance by the namesake band “Uptown,” a group celebrated for its R&B finesse, exceptional vocal talent, and mesmerizing stage presence. This year’s gala hosts, Sara Michaels and Michael Phelan, promise an unforgettable experience, filled with the excitement and music that have become synonymous with the Light Up the Night Gala.
