Garden Media Group’s president, Katie Dubow was honored with the 2024 Green Achiever Award, presented by the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association (PLNA), writes staff for Perishable News.

Dubow was presented the award at the PLNA’s 120^th Anniversary Awards Luncheon at Longwood Gardens. 

The Green Achiever Award recognizes a new individual to the horticulture industry who is an upcoming leader for the PLNA.  The winner is chosen based on involvement with PLNA and community, business, and industry contributions. 

“Katie is widely recognized as a green industry champion,” said PLNA Board Chair Rob McHale.  “She just started her third three-year term on the PLNA Board of Directors and is one of the first woman PLNA Board Chairs.” 

Dubow is only the fourth woman to earn this prestigious recognition. Dubow speaks all over the world, with the goal of inspiring people to connect gardening and horticulture with relevant cultural trends.  

“Receiving the 2024 Green Achiever Award means I’m someone who cares about the Pennsylvania horticulture industry and can share that passion with others,” explained Dubow. “I am eager to help others in PA – and beyond – enter this field, learn about horticulture, and find additional opportunities to grow.”
