Chester County business leader and resident Ralf Weiser has published Maybe It’s You and Not Them, a guide specifically for Gen X and baby boomer business leaders for attaining and retaining Gen Z and Millennial talent via Amazon. The book will not only be insightful to older generations of business leaders looking for ways to change their current practices, but members of the Gen Z and Millennial generations will also gain valuable insight into the mindsets of their managers as well. 

“I wrote this book for Gen X and baby boomer business leaders who are ready to discover why they are having difficulties with both attracting and retaining Gen Z and millennial talent in their businesses,” said Weiser. “As the chronic labor shortage continues to gain momentum, it’s vital for Gen X and baby boomer leader-managers to bridge the generational gap, and Maybe It’s You and Not Them is geared towards exactly that.”

Weiser has more than 30 years of experience in various leadership roles in the manufacturing industry, currently holding the role of Director of Operations at Chadwick Optical Inc. in Schwenksville, Montgomery County. He has spent much of his career building up teams to promote triple-bottom-line leadership: People, Planet, and Prosperity. 

In addition to his extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, Weiser has also spent the last 15 years volunteering in various capacities in the Greater Philadelphia Area, such as the Manufacturing Alliance of Chester County and Delaware County, the German American Chamber of Commerce Philadelphia, Montgomery County Community College, and Avon Grove Charter School. 

His greatest passion is attaining and retaining Gen Z and millennial talent. It is through his volunteer experience that he has been able to follow this passion, most notably through laying the groundwork for learn, earn, and not owe job training programs through local community colleges. Such programs offered high school and post-secondary education graduates a paid industrial career path, while simultaneously earning an Associates Degree in advanced manufacturing. 

Weiser also holds a degree in Business Administration and Human Performance Management from Immaculata University.
