Safe Harbor of Chester County is a non-profit charitable organization located in the heart of West Chester. It has been serving men and women experiencing homelessness since 1995.

Its mission is to provide safe and enriching shelter, three nutritious meals, access to resources, and supportive services in a structured environment for single men and women experiencing homelessness in Chester County.

Safe Harbor will be there to support its neighbors in need until they have a place to call home.

Its goals reach beyond just feeding the homeless and providing shelter.

Safe Harbor aspires to understand each individual’s unique circumstances and background, define short-term action plans, provide trauma-informed programming, and facilitate access to the resources required for long-term independence and self-sufficiency for each individual.

At Safe Harbor, the mission is simple- to provide a safe harbor for individuals struggling with the many complicated and unique circumstances that lead to poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness.

It provides an enriching and safe environment for 20 single men and 20 single women, offering a comfortable bed and three nutritious meals each day, providing Case Management services to facilitate access to permanent housing, and serving as a connector to resources to support employment and job skills, medical issues, mental health services, family preservation, money management, and beyond.
