Malvern couple Chelsie Daugherty and Larry Ofcharsky prioritized quality over quantity for their dream wedding, making it a true classic with black-and-white decor and a puppy appearance, writes Taylor Carson for the Philadelphia Magazine

The couple got together while attending Penn State in 2009. They decided not to rush into marriage until they achieved some of their goals.

“After college, we moved to the Philadelphia area for work and got our first apartment together,” said Daugherty. “We took the time to establish our careers. We knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, but we weren’t in a rush.”

They originally set their wedding date for May 2020, but they had to postpone twice due to the pandemic. They finally tied the knot on May 20, 2022, during a stunning ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul

The reception was held at the Barnes Foundation, where the couple used the museum’s interior and artwork as a stunning backdrop. The celebration was brought to life with all-white florals.

The special touch for the pair were cocktail napkins starring Ellie, their first dog as a couple, who also showed up at the wedding for photos.
