West Chester is filled with a myriad of places to visit being the county seat and one of the oldest areas of settlement. The Chester County History Center right in town shares local history through events, preserved articles of clothing, photographs, and manuscripts.
Nearby are the Antique Ice Tool Museum and the American Helicopter Museum. The Ice Tool Museum shows us how important modern freezers and technology are compared to the historic and once-luxurious tools that were used in the pre-industrial age. Additionally, the American Helicopter Museum showcases priceless wonders that detail the story of flight over the decades.
Of course, you can’t miss out on the Brandywine Museum of Art in Chadds Ford, which houses local art from Philadelphia artists and pieces from other creators from across the centuries.
