If you are looking for a perfect place to take a walk or simply relax while enjoying your surroundings, there are plenty of outdoor activities Chester County is home to. This abundance of natural destinations fit the bill perfectly, according to staff at Main Line Today.

Black Rock Sanctuary in Phoenixville offers nearly 120 acres of meadows, wetlands, and woodlands, along with a nearly a mile-long ADA-accessible interpretive trail.

At Cool Valley Preserve in Malvern, over 33 acres of meadows and forest can be accessed via trails that are also used for cross-country skiing during winter.

Marshall Mill House Preserve in Kennett Square is on 40 beautiful acres with 1.5 miles of trails. The old Marshall Mill House is also here.

The largest battle during the Revolutionary War occurred at Brandywine Battlefield Park in Chadds Ford. Today, the 50 acres serve as an education and remembrance site.

Stroud Preserve in West Chester is a mix of grasslands, woodlands, and repurposed farmland that scratches for 571 acres. It has four main hiking trails and several locations for horseback riding.
