Chester County Home to Ten Places with Most Expensive Homes in Pennsylvania

Some of the most expensive homes in the state are in Chester County.

Chester County is home to ten places that are among the top 30 with the most expensive homes in Pennsylvania, according to a new ranking by Stacker. 

To compile the list, Stacker used data from Zillow. Places are ranked based on the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of October 2023. 

Devon took the top spot in the state with a median home value of $864,208. This is a one-year value increase of 10.3 percent and a five-year increase of a whopping 44.1 percent. 

Berwyn is not far behind in third place with a median home value of $837,655, a one-year value increase of 6.9 percent, and a five-year increase of 41.6 percent. 

Malvern is next at No. 7 with a typical home value of $704,780. Chester Springs also made the top ten at No. 9. The town’s average home value is $681,976. 

Other towns on the list are Glenmoore at No. 19 ($596,121), West Chester at No. 20 ($582,975), Paoli at No. 21 ($564,032), Kennett Square at No. 22 ($561,783), Avondale at No. 24 ($550,630), and Exton at No. 27 ($544,937).
