Miche Scott's soaps are intricately detailed, smell wonderful, and work like a charm.

Honey Brook soap artisan and entrepreneur Miche Scott uses wild-harvested botanicals and herbs to craft soaps that are as gorgeous as they smell, writes Melissa Jacobs for Main Line Tonight

Scott first launched her soaps online at Clover Market, but soon branched out into specialty and gift shops. Today, Miche Scott Handmade is sold in nearly 40 stores throughout the country, including in some upscale locations such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art

Scott, who is a native of the Philippines, launched her company in 2020, the same year she came to the United States

She first became interested in soaps in 2013, when she saw a woman making soap in a high-end pop-up shop inside a Dubai hotel. The combination of scents and shapes along with hand work struck a chord with her.

“I was so moved by it,” she said. “I asked the woman if she taught a soap-making class. She did.”

For Scott, making soaps goes beyond simply being a business.

“Soap making is a way for me to quiet my mind and clear the cobwebs in my head,” she said. “There is something magical about working with my hands.”
