The historic Hillside Farm is a place where family and tradition take center stage, write Wakisha Bailey and Rory Hardenstine for CBS News Philadelphia.

The property is owned by Ruth and Bob McKeaney, who spent 16 years flipping houses every 18 to 24 months before they found what they believed would be their forever home.

“This house is 305 years old,” said Ruth McKeaney. “William Penn deeded it. We are the fourth people on the deed.”

The beautifully designed home was featured on the YouTube home show called Homeworthy, where the episode garnered over a million views. Its success led to a second taping where McKeaney talked about her approach to entertaining both family and friends.

McKeaney loves creating new traditions, including making homemade cinnamon rolls with her family every Christmas. A lot of the recipes she uses can be found in her self-published book Hungry For Home.

“It’s not just about restoring home, it’s restoring family,” she said.

One of the more recent traditions came to fruition in the barn on the property, where one of her daughters was married and another one is planning her wedding.
