There are many things to offer around the county, including outdoor dining that's available for a few months in West Chester.

Living in Chester County has a bit of everything for residents as well as visitors, from vibrant dining and exciting shopping hubs to popular events and historic main streets, according to a new guide of the county’s towns from Main Line Today.

Devon, Berwyn, and Paoli are relatively low-key hamlets along Lancaster Avenue that benefit from the proximity of Devon Yard, a complex with high-end shopping destinations Anthropologie and BHLDN and upscale dining. The nearby Devon Horse Show grounds hold the nation’s oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed equestrian competition.

Kennett Square, also known as the Mushroom Capital of the World, has grown considerably mostly due to its affordability, walkability, and family-friendly vibe. One of the town’s highlights is the world-renowned Longwood Gardens.

Meanwhile, West Chester boasts a burning-hot real estate market, excellent schools, and a thriving downtown.

Phoenixville has recently undergone a true food and beverage renaissance, with many distilleries and breweries.

Exton has one of the nicest train stations and a walkable Main Street complex while neighboring Downingtown boasts a cozy downtown and the original location of the award-winning Victory Brewing Company.

Finally, Malvern features a robust shopping and dining scene centered on King Street.
