While the list is extensive, here are a few of the theater companies, museums, and performance halls you won’t want to miss.

In West Chester and Chester Springs, check out the workshops, children’s summer camps, and shows offered at the two SALT Performing Arts locations. Also in West Chester is the Church Street Gallery. Looking for your next theatre performance? Head over to People’s Light in Malvern to see cutting-edge plays written by nationally renowned playwrights and put on stage by talented actors. Just nearby is Gallery 222 on East King Street, which has a garden and patio, as well as local and established artists in a mixed-use space.

If you’re in the mood for some historic adventures, the county has enough landmarks and museums to sate the appetite of any history buff. For example, Revolutionary War General Anthony Wayne’s house is available for touring in Paoli. There are also numerous historical societies located in Phoenixville, Chadds Ford, and other towns that showcase everything from artifacts and lectures to events and exhibits.

Finally, two prominent businesses offer chances for the public to view their campuses. At QVC Studio Park in West Chester, see how their products are tested, shown on air, and sold to people all over the nation. Down in Nottingham is the famous Herr’s snack factory where you can watch how their snacks are made and learn the history of the company.
