Farmer & Co. in Unionville is the newest cafe and market in the area that offers local grub, events, and good coffee.

Farmer & Co., established by Jessie Mooberry and Soren Rubin in an 1820-style space, is a charming new cafe and artisanal market in Unionville, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today

The cafe offers everything from chouxnuts and custom cakes to breakfast bars sweetened with honey and maple syrup and healthy energy balls. Of course, there are also various caffeinated creations to choose from.

Meanwhile, on the market side, customers can buy beef from Green Valley Farms in Avondale and pork from Landenberg’s Fox Penn Farms, as well as cheese and eggs from nearby Doe Run Farm in Unionville.

Other great finds include West Chester’s Éclat chocolates and Turk’s Head small-batch hot sauce, Swarmbustin’ Honey from a family apiary in West Grove, and Philadelphia’s Elixr Coffee’s fresh beans.

Additionally, there are plenty of vegan and gluten-free goodies and pastries available from OsoSweet Bakery Cafe in Chadds Ford.

The establishment also offers delicious house-made soups such as paleo chili, andouille sausage gumbo, garden tomato, and vegetable with heirloom grains.

Look for Farmer & Co. at 5 Cemetery Lane in Unionville.
