Susan Springsteen, of Coatesville’s nth Solutions, offers advice to inventors on how to make their ideas a reality in the new book, Secrets of Successful Women Inventors by Edith G. Tolchin, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News

Springsteen penned the chapter titled The nth Solutions, LLC Story – Advancing Innovation from Concept to Revenue

nth Solutions created H2O Connected and its multi-patented product line, LeakAlertor, which prevents leaks and overflows in toilets.

The chapter Springsteen wrote is designed to help budding inventors who have great ideas but do not know where to start and become overwhelmed.

“They are afraid of someone taking advantage of them,” she said. “They don’t even know what questions to ask.”

In addition, product development can be very pricey. Investors usually use their own savings to get started. There is also the question of whether the product will sell at a reasonable or target price point to the end user.

“We start every project with a market study,” said Springsteen. “You really have to know who your end user is. You have to know who your customer is.”
