Craft Beer Lovers, Take Note – One Local Brewery Joins Philadelphia’s Thriving Scene
The craft beer boom that started in the Philadelphia area in the early 2010s is not showing any signs of slowing down with new breweries popping up every year across the region, writes Henry Savage for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
And this year has already proven to be no slouch. There are nine new breweries around Philadelphia that every beer aficionado should find time to check out and Omnus Brewing in Downingtown is one of them.
Omnus Brewing aims to bring an approachable and welcoming taproom to the local community — after all, it is named after the Latin word for “everyone.”
It offers a variety of beers, from a hoppy German pilsner to a fruity West Coast IPA and much more.
The brewery also likes to give back to the community by donating a portion of the profit from its West Coast IPA sales to organizations supporting people with Down syndrome.
The brewery is the brainchild of a former brewer at Levante Brewing, “so you know he knows his stuff,” said Chadd Balbi, co-founder of the media outlet Breweries in Pennsylvania.
