This Chester County Railroad Among Most Scenic Train Rides in Pennsylvania
A train ride is one of the best ways to enjoy autumn’s vibrant colors and get a spectacular view of fall foliage in Pennsylvania, writes Robin O’Neal Smith for Travel Awaits.
Luckily, you do not have to go far to be able to fully take advantage of such a relaxing trip as West Chester Railroad is among the twelve most scenic fall train rides in the state.
The 150-year-old railroad is run by the West Chester Railroad Heritage Association. It runs along the gorgeous Chester Creek and continues to Glen Mills. There, the historical railroad doubles back to round out the 90-minute train trip over 7.7 miles.
It holds special events for holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, and more.
The main loading hub for this antique train is West Chester Station.
