The region is home to many beautiful local art museums and galleries, including several in Chester County, that offer a great way to observe the mastery these experts have created, writes Ben Silver for Main Line Today.

Brandywine Museum of Art in Chadds Ford showcases the works of the prolific Wyeth family. The family of artists lived in the area throughout the last century. The museum is a converted 19th-century mill and its southeast wall, which is made entirely of glass, provides stunning views of the Brandywine Creek below.

The museum is open every day of the week except for Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Meanwhile, Wharton Esherick Museum in Malvern was once the home of the eponymous artist himself. Today, it offers a transformative experience through engagements with exhibits showcasing art from the famed creator.

The museum consists of several buildings, with Esherick’s former studio representing its centerpiece. Other structures include his expressionist garage and a 1956 workshop he designed in collaboration with Louis Kahn.
