This October, Uptown will host two original artists, such as ‘The Voice’ alum Morgan Myles in an effort to bring new and exciting music to West Chester.

On Friday, October 6, Morgan Myles will perform songs from popular artists and several of her original songs.

Two of these songs, “Sanctuary” and “Woman of My Word” received standing ovations during her debut at the Grand Ole Opry this past January.

On the 22nd season of ‘The Voice,’ she received a four-chair turn after just four seconds and then went on to be in the top three finalists of the season.

All four judges, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Camila Capello Domi heaped praise on her vocals and stage presence.

On October 28, Uptown will host Jeffrey Gaines, who will perform much of his own original material in addition to covers of songs by the likes of Elvis Costello, The Monkees, and Roberta Flack.

A seasoned veteran, Jeffrey Gaines has toured with artists including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Tori Amos, Tracy Chapman, Melissa Etheridge, and Sting.

Gaines has performed his original compositions live on ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien‘, ‘VH-1‘, ‘Friday Night Videos[, and A&E’s ‘Breakfast with the Arts‘.
