Stephen and Kara Rogacki are the founders of Twelve78 Brewing, which secured a new spot in Phoenixville.

A Phoenixville brewery has earned its spot on Bridge Street, thanks to a crowdfunding campaign of investors, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Between June and August, Twelve78 Brewing raised $123,000 on the investment platform Mainvest for its 5,000-square-foot space, which includes a taproom and brewery production area.

The funding will go towards the taproom’s essentials, including the tap system itself and the bar. Founders Stephen and Kara Rogacki are planning to open the new establishment by November or December.

Rogacki has a day job in technical services, but fermentation has always been his passion. He was a home brewer for thirty years before starting the venture to kickstart Twelve78 two years ago.

After opening, the duo has plans for expansion, planning for a 988-square-foot beer garden to open next spring.

The brewing company boasts of unique brews. The sour smoothies, for example are sour beers mixed with soft serve ice cream to create delectable flavors such as pumpkin pie, pina colada, chocolate, and strawberry.

While the brewery does not have a kitchen, it will be partnering with a food truck to be permanently stationed on its property.
