Downingtown East barely beats State College

Downingtown East finally found a way to top State College 28-26 in a Pennsylvania high school football matchup on Sept. 1.

Downingtown East opened with a 7-0 advantage over State College through the first quarter.

The Cougars opened a tight 21-7 gap over the Little Lions at halftime.

Downingtown East and State College each scored in the third quarter.

The Cougars chalked up this decision in spite of the Little Lions’ spirited final-quarter performance.
