A penthouse in Center City previously owned by former Philadelphia Phillies slugger Pat Burrell is once again up for sale at another reduced price, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The home at 1601 Locust Street is being offered for $3.25 million. It was listed in March 2022 for $4.299 million and reduced to $3.75 million in October.

The bi-level unit covers more than 4,500 square feet and has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. It spans the entire 17th floor of the building, with the primary bedroom being on the 18th floor. The upper level is accessed via a glass staircase.

Burrell was the original owner of the penthouse. He bought it in 2005 and customized it to his needs. He and other players celebrated winning the World Series after their championship-clinching Game 5 victory in 2008 at the apartment.

The condo was acquired from Burrell by Thomas Domalski, a former equities trader at Susquehanna International Group, for $2.55 million in May 2012.

The property’s price keeps dropping due to the lack of demand, which is creating “tremendous deals” on high-end condos, said listing agent Kristen Foote of Compass Real Estate.
