A new CCRES scholarship program distributed its first scholarships to Nina R and four other students at the TCHS-Pickering school. Nina is shown with her mom (third from left), Leon Spencer, CCRES Boarfd Chairman and Sharon King, CCRES Board Secretary.

CCRES congratulates Nina R. for being part of a group of five students from the Technical College High School(TCHS) – Pickering to receive one of CCRES’s new scholarships.

The CCRES  scholarship of $4,121.82 was used to purchase a laptop to assist in her studies.

The newly established CCRES Scholarship Program awards grants to qualifying students to enable them to attend post-secondary educational institutions, including career and technical schools.

While the awards can apply to traditional colleges and universities, they also can fund attendance at trade schools offering licensed practical nursing, cosmetology, construction, and technology programs.

The scholarship awards can also pay for certification exams, special fees or tools and equipment associated with a student’s coursework or academic program.

Nina studied in the Commercial Arts and Design Media program at TCHS-Pickering and also attended Great Valley High School.

She is pursuing a BFA in Applied Digital Arts at Kutztown University.
