‘It’s a Way of Life’: Coatesville High School’s New Principal Follows in His Father’s Footsteps
As the 2023-24 school year gets underway, Coatesville Area Senior High School will have a new principal, according to a staff report from The Daily Local News.
Brian Chenger, who has worked for 17 years as an administrator in the Coatesville Area School District, will take over the role that was held decades ago by his father, Paul Chenger.
“I grew up with this,” said Chenger. “It’s more than just a career. It’s a way of life.”
Forty-eight-year-old Chenger was appointed to the position after former principal Michele Snyder decided to move to the role of Director of Pupil Services in the district.
For the last three years, Chenger worked in Coatesville as Director of Athletics, Activities, and Compliance. Prior to that, he served as Principal of Coatesville Area Intermediate High School.
“This school and this district provide an opportunity for our students to be better prepared for life after high school because of the experiences they have here,” said Chenger. “It’s such a diverse community, and that really is one of our strengths. That is something that you just can’t teach.”
