Foodies looking for exquisite cuisine and lively bars in West Chester have come to the right place. The town’s bustling food scene has much to offer, and as Joy Franklin from PhillyBite Magazine writes, there are various options to try out.

Asuka is considered the town’s best Chinese and Japanese cuisine establishment. The spot serves a variety of sushi rolls, and Chinese dishes, and has plenty of gluten-free options.

Taco Mar is a Mexican restaurant that boasts authentic fare and has vegetarian options. The establishment sits on the Gay Street thoroughfare and has collected accolades for being a local and regional favorite.

For a more formal experience, The Original Spence Café uses locally sourced ingredients and some of the finest seafood and meats to create their dishes. They also offer catering and private events.

Jake’s Bar is the choice if you’re looking for a fun atmosphere. This college bar has $1.00 beer and a dive-y vibe. Those with a sweet tooth can sip on one of the slushies that they make in-house.

For something more upscale, The Four Dogs Tavern, a joint bar and brasserie, offers elevated comfort food. Grilled brie can be shared between friends, and the grilled Reuben sandwich is not to miss. The bar offers an array of craft cocktails and seasonal sangria.
