With retired NFL superstar Randy Moss on board as an investor, the local fast-casual chicken eatery Chick-A-Boom has major plans for the future, writes Mikyhial Clarke for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

“I was sold on its potential to not only be the next big food franchise, but a disruptive cultural property that can integrate with live experiences in sports, music, and digital,” said Moss.

The restaurant recently opened its fourth location on Frankford Avenue in the city’s Juniata section and Moss was on hand to greet customers. The company founder Brittany Tolliferreo is hoping that its new big-name backer can help the brand achieve a big expansion with new stores, products, and events.

“The sky’s the limit,” she said.

Following the launch of the new drive-thru, Chick-A-Boom is planning on establishing its first location outside of the Philadelphia region. The first new restaurant will be open in Moss’s hometown of Rand, West Virginia. This will be followed by two more West Virginia locations sometime in the future.

Chick-A-Boom is known for its delicious chicken and unorthodox sauces such as mango habanero and honey garlic. It also offers signature branded drinks.
