Drexel University men’s soccer team has hired Mark Fetrow, a West Chester native and Associate Head Coach at Villanova University, as its new head coach, according to a staff report from the Soccer Wire

Fetrow will be the seventh head coach in the over 75-year-long history of Drexel Men’s Soccer.

“I am excited to announce Mark as the head coach of the Drexel Men’s Soccer program,” said Drexel Director of Athletics Maisha Kelly. “Mark had an exceptional collegiate career at Penn State, professionally, and has garnered tremendous experience in the coaching ranks.”

Fetrow has been a member of the Wildcats’ staff since 2016. He served as an assistant coach for three years before being promoted to the position of Associate Head Coach. Villanova advanced to the BIG EAST semifinals two years ago and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

“I am thrilled to accept this opportunity as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Drexel University,” said Fetrow. “Through the commitment of honesty and integrity, our staff will focus on developing well-rounded student-athletes while maximizing their potential on the field, in the classroom, and serving the Philadelphia community.”
