Seton Hill Women’s Lacrosse Finds Its New Head Coach in Former West Chester Standout
Dina Cifelli, a former Notre Dame High School and West Chester University standout, is the new women’s lacrosse coach at Seton Hill University, writes Dina Cifelli for The Trentonian.
Cifelli has spent the past six years serving as a collegiate assistant coach.
“When it was offered it was like a ‘wow’ moment for me,’’ said Cifelli. “It showed that my dream of becoming a head coach was becoming a reality. It was all very exciting.’’
Cifelli boasts an amazing lacrosse career. She was a four-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selection as well as the PSAC Rookie of the Year in 2014. To this day, she still holds the West Chester and PSAC record for career assists with 222. She is also fifth on the all-time points list at West Chester with 305.
“I am so excited for Dina to have this opportunity,’’ said West Chester coach Ginny Martino. “Over the past few years, she has had the experience of working side by side with some of the best coaches in Division II and now it’s her time to take over a program and put her own stamp on it.’’
