A Westtown School alum is going to sign with the 76ers, writes Keith Pompey for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba signed a one-year contract with his home city team, where he will be a reserve center to Joel Embiid.

Prior to his time with the Lakers, Bamba was with Orlando Magic, which traded him with the Los Angeles team this February. The 25-year-old averaged 3.7 points and 4.6 rebounds with the Lakers.

When Bamba was a senior at the West Chester high school, he participated in the McDonald’s All American and Nike Hoops Summit, which earned him a ranking of the No. 2 player by Scout and Rivals, and third by ESPN.

Bamba will be the 11th team member for the 76ers, as Georges Niang, Shake Milton, and Jalen McDaniels will play for other teams this upcoming season.
