Enforcement Officer

This position’s duties involve maintaining compliance of all enforcement action with state and federal regulations, ensuring that payments are received and all provisions are followed, and addressing questions and concerns regarding child and spousal support cases. Additional responsibilities include performing case management duties and assisting at special hearings.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field with at least 6 months of experience, knowledge of Pennsylvania rules of civil procedure, and the ability to interface effectively with county management. Candidates should preferably have experience in case management or interaction with the public and the ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.

Deputy Sheriff I

This position will protect the judge and courtroom personnel during criminal trials, maintain custody and control of prisoners, and process background checks for firearm permits. Other duties include completing prisoner extraditions and transports, completing detailed and accurate reports or reportable incidents, and performing other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and their Act 120 Police Academy training certification not more than five years prior to the employment date, or five years of law enforcement experience. Candidates should maintain firearms qualification and CPR and EMS provider-level certifications. Candidates should have knowledge of criminal and civil law and training in defensive and security tactics.

Attorney III – Solicitor

This position will provide advice and legal counsel regarding compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, review and draft Resolutions and Ordinances, and serve as a resource for management/departments. Other duties include assess ing departmental policies and procedure and providing drafts of new and revised county policies and pleadings as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and a law degree from an accredited college or university and a license to practice law in PA. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills, the ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters, and proven skills in creating, analyzing, and applying human resources and other county policies, procedures, and rules.
