Chester County is one of the five fastest-growing counties in Pennsylvania based on the percentage change in population from 2020 to 2023, writes Heather Burdo for AZ Animals. 

The population in Chester County has increased by 6.8 percent since 2020, which puts it in second place statewide, only behind Cumberland County. 

The county has seen a huge influx of residents in part due to its historic charm, gorgeous landscapes, and excellent quality of life, as well as its strong sense of community. Schools in the region are among the best in the state, which makes it extra attractive for families. 

Chester County’s appeal and its growth are also being driven by the industry’s notable annual contribution of $3 billion.
