Westtown Athlete One of Top 100 Basketball Prospects for 2024
Westtown School’s Zahra King is one of the top 100 basketball prospects in the class of 2024, writes Isabella DiAmore for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The 5-foot-9 guard, who arrived in West Chester three years ago after having started her high school career at Léman Manhattan Private School, made ESPN’s HoopGurlz class of 2024 recruiting rankings at No. 80.
This season, King helped her team win a PAISAA championship and a Friends Schools League title. With an infusion of young talent, she also made sure to use the opportunity to develop her skills as a leader.
“I think definitely the thing I’ve been working on most is my ability to lead,” said King earlier this year. “Usually, I’m not as vocal. I don’t talk. I like to lead by my actions. I realized that being able to lead by your voice goes a long way as well. I think I’ve been doing a great job with it this season.”
The talented athlete already has several offers, including from Arizona State, Penn State, and Clemson.
